Sevenstep Vice President Koye Adejumo Recognized in the 2024 SIA 40 Under 40 List

BOSTON – July 24, 2024 – Sevenstep, a global talent solutions leader, announced today that Koye Adejumo, Vice President of Infrastructure, has been named to Staffing Industry Analysts’ (SIA) 2024 40 Under 40 list. SIA is a global research and advisory firm focused on staffing and workforce solutions. Their list recognizes professionals under 40 years old who are making major contributions to the world of work. Adejumo was also recognized in 2019.

“The world of work is changing and changing rapidly, making the need for bold new generations of staffing leaders crucial to our industry’s success now and into the future,” said SIA President Ursula Williams. “Staffing is truly the business of people, connecting people to fulfilling work,” she continued. “As we employ the latest technology to enhance that work, I am encouraged to see the human side of our business remains at the forefront. This year’s 40 Under 40 class serves as a remarkable example of agility, adaptability and advancement amidst our industry’s evolution.”

Adejumo’s recognition on SIA’s 40 Under 40 list for the second time is a testament to his influence within the talent solutions industry. His work includes driving Sevenstep’s Analytics and Intelligence (A&I) unit and building the Sevenstep operational excellence team, which applies data-driven intelligence to implement and refine innovations in analytics, technology and operations. Adejumo’s team is responsible for Sevenstep financials and internal planning, and they create models to predict month-to-month client activity and resourcing needs. The team’s combination of data and business expertise enables quick scaling of resources, accurate targeting of sourcing and advertising spend and real-time flags for bottlenecks and production waste, all contributing to Sevenstep’s performance.

The A&I function builds intelligence through a unified data model and Sevenstep’s proprietary Sevayo® Insights talent data integration and analytics platform. The technology integrates market data related to talent supply and demand, client talent acquisition performance and resource costs. The team’s expertise is critical in creating informed strategies and identifying innovation opportunities to solve client talent acquisition challenges.

As part of that effort, Adejumo’s leadership was instrumental in implementing a machine learning model that predicts roles at risk of aging, to which Sevenstep deploys specialty resources and strategies to solve challenging assignments on time and within budget. Such precise guidance enables Sevenstep to pivot, drive improvements and address client needs proactively. The work of Adejumo and his A&I group has helped Sevenstep outperform the talent solutions industry, achieving 35% growth in 2023, compared to a -7 to -9% industry-wide contraction, with a near 100% client retention rate. This solution recently won the TalentEdgeAI Best Use of Technology Award presented by the TALiNT Partners TIARA Talent Solutions Awards US, where the judges noted, “This should be an industry standard.”

In addition to his A&I leadership, Adejumo initiated a unique sustainability and business performance partnership with veritree, a sustainability non-profit that plants trees around the world. His research showed hiring manager feedback was critical to innovation and service excellence. By submitting a satisfaction survey, a hiring manager receives credit for “planting” a tree and can access biodiversity impacts and photos in real time. This feedback loop connects sustainability, client relationships and solutions performance. The program is responsible for planting 26,000 trees, sequestering 4,011 tons of carbon dioxide and reducing food insecurity for affected farm families from 56% to 8%.

“Koye’s leadership sets the example for Sevenstep’s approach to innovation,” said Sevenstep President Amy Bush. “His strategic vision, problem-solving mindset, multi-disciplinary expertise and commitment to team success have been instrumental in keeping us ahead. Our clients recognize Sevenstep as an active innovator and technology developer with the expertise to solve their most pressing talent acquisition challenges. Koye’s work has been critical to the role we play.”

In addition to his work at Sevenstep, Adejumo is committed to mentoring and community service. He set up programs through Rugby Works, a career support organization for underserved communities, providing education for advancement in the workforce. He also helped fund a college scholarship for full living expenses and books for a select student through his alma mater in the United Kingdom and led an initiative focused on food insecurity through Sevenstep’s corporate social responsibility program, Sevenstep Cares.
