Sevenstep Team | August 26, 2024
BOSTON – August 27, 2024 - Sevenstep, a global talent solutions leader, won The TalentEdgeAI Best Use of Technology Award at the 2024 TIARA Talent Solutions Awards US and was recognized as a runner-up in The cFIRST Best Long-Term Partnership category, demonstrated by its success with uniform and facility services experts and client, UniFirst. Presented by TALiNT Partners, the TIARA Awards honor industry-leading recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), managed service provider (MSP) and total talent solutions partners for the growth, innovation and leadership contributions they make to businesses around the world.
Best Use of Technology Award The 2024 Best Use of Technology Award recognizes Sevenstep’s use of Sevayo® Insights, its proprietary talent data integration and analytics platform, to dramatically reduce the possibility of aging requisitions that leave critical roles unfilled and skew talent acquisition (TA) performance. Through Sevayo Insights, Sevenstep analyzed historical data from multiple clients, ranging from six months to 10+ years, then applied machine learning to predict roles at risk of aging. The Sevenstep team identified factors contributing to risk, set thresholds to monitor open roles and structured specialist resources to deploy against high-risk openings.
Sevenstep piloted this approach with a Fortune 50 healthcare client in 2023. The goal was to reduce the overall percentage of aging requisitions, cut time-to-fill metrics and boost hiring manager satisfaction. The initial effort identified that roughly 32% of all requisitions were potential aging risks. The Sevenstep team successfully rolled out a comprehensive flagging system and assigned specialized resources to address high-risk requisitions, creating the following results:
- Reduced aging from roughly 40% to 6%
- Cut overall time-to-fill by 18 days
- Increased hiring manager Net Promoter Score (NPS) to 82%+
- Increased the accuracy of predictions from 91% to 95%
“Sevenstep’s use of predictive analytics to identify high-risk requisitions meets an immediate need for our clients with a solution that yields a lasting, positive impact,” said Sevenstep President Amy Bush. “Through innovations such as this application of our proprietary Sevayo Insights data integration platform, we are solving the most difficult hiring challenges companies face today. Our clients depend on us to keep them ahead in a volatile market for talent, and through the commitment and expertise of our innovation team, we have the solutions to deliver."
“Judges said Sevenstep’s submission for Best Use in Technology was excellent and should be an industry standard,” said Ken Brotherston, chief executive at TALiNT Partners. “Sevenstep demonstrated the value of applying true business intelligence to the staffing process and making a meaningful impact on people analytics and hiring activity. We are honored to recognize Sevenstep’s accomplishments, as well as how they work with clients for the long-term, elevating and evolving a company’s ability to thrive through trusted, consultative partnerships.”
Best Long-Term Partnership Award: UniFirst Sevenstep was a runner-up in the Best Long-Term Partnership Award category, which looks for evidence of genuine partnership over at least five years, evaluating sustained success and continuous improvement. Sevenstep was recognized for its trusted eight-year partnership with UniFirst, a North American leader in providing customized business uniform programs, facility service products and first aid and safety services. The company overcame demanding labor markets and unique TA challenges at more than 100 locations in the United States.
“The UniFirst business relies on a highly professional, skilled and reliable team across all delivery and management roles at all locations,” said Elita Nicholson, Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition at UniFirst. “Sevenstep gives us the recruiting resources, attention to detail and shared ownership we need to sustain our teams. Their partnership and problem-solving mindset have been critical to our success.”
Over time, the original scope of the Sevenstep engagement with UniFirst has grown to cover more than 2,000 hires annually. UniFirst routinely engages Sevenstep to provide additional support outside of planned hires – most recently, a successful effort to support recruiting for sales staff.
“Our partnership with UniFirst shows how a great employer, supported by a relationship of trust with a committed, strategic partner, can sustain a workforce advantage,” added Bush. “It is a relationship that represents the best side of talent solutions, delivering shared successes and continuously evolving to a dynamic market environment.”
A History of Success The TIARA Awards are based on a rigorous evaluation of provider applicants by a panel of senior-level judges with experience as talent acquisition thought leaders and providers. All finalists receive feedback based on judges’ comments for each of award entry.
